Terms of Service

Last updated: October 25, 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms govern your use of T-Filer CMS at tfilercms.com (the "Service"), practice management software for advocates and law firms, operated by Sajeyks Labs ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

2. What the Service does

The Service lets a firm keep matters and file numbers, record clients and other parties, keep a shared calendar of hearings and deadlines, assign matters and dates to colleagues, prepare and store documents for filing, and see a record of who did what and when. Optional features, such as connecting Google Calendar, only work if you switch them on. We may change or retire features and will try to give notice of changes that affect your work.

3. Accounts and firms

  • Everyone uses the Service as a member of a firm. A practice of one is a firm of one.
  • The person who creates a firm is its owner. Owners and admins can invite and remove people, change roles and see the firm's activity record. Members can work on the matters they can open.
  • You must give accurate information, including your real first and last name, because colleagues refer to you by it and it appears in the activity record.
  • Keep your password safe and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.
  • The firm decides who has access. Owners should remove people who have left, and the Service reminds them to review the member list regularly.

4. Your data and the activity record

Your firm owns the matters, documents and other information it puts into the Service. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the Service to you.

The Service keeps an activity record of important actions, such as creating or editing matters and dates, uploading, opening and downloading documents, and changes to who has access. Entries cannot be edited or deleted by users, and they are kept for as long as the firm has an account. By using the Service, each person accepts that their actions in the firm are recorded and visible to the firm's owners and admins, and, for matter activity, to colleagues who can open that matter.

5. Professional responsibility

The Service is a tool. It does not give legal advice, and it does not replace your own judgement or the rules of the courts. Dates that the Service calculates, for example from a deadline calculator, and reminders it sends are aids: you remain responsible for checking every date, filing deadline and court requirement yourself. You are responsible for confidentiality and privilege in the material you store, and for having the right to store it.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service unlawfully, upload malicious files, try to get into other firms' data, probe or disrupt our systems, share your login with people outside the firm, or exceed reasonable usage limits, including storage limits shown in the Service.

7. Fees

Any fees for the Service are shown to you before you are charged. Unless the law requires otherwise, fees paid are not refunded. We will give reasonable notice before changing our prices.

8. Availability and disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it secure and running, and to keep backups, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including missed deadlines, lost profits or loss of data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your firm's data. We may suspend or end accounts that break these Terms. When a firm's account is closed, its data may be deleted, so export what you need first.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will try to give 30 days' notice. Using the Service after the change means you accept it.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes about them.
